We trialled a new admission avoidance intervention. We use CEMBooks to capture all the data & any issues associated with doing the new intervention. The results have demonstrated the success of this improvement and provide the basis of our business case for further investment in this intervention.

The team at Bradford Royal Infirmary introduced a post nights senior safety review to reduce unnecessary admissions.
By creating a CEMBooks log to record the number of patients awaiting a bed, the number of ED senior or specialty reviews across a range of specialties, and the number of TCI reversals on a daily basis they were able to demonstrate a 50% reduction in TCI’s.
